FEMALE ATTORNEYS
Are you ready to find a better, more fulfilling way to practice law?
Sick of feeling overwhelmed, overworked,
exhausted, and burned out?
It’s not you—it’s the industry.
If you're at a firm or in-house, does this sound familiar?
Or perhaps you've already started your own firm, but:
The way you’re working is unsustainable
—and you know it.
ā Your family has just accepted that you’re always “busy” and constantly checking your phone.
ā You went to law school to make a difference in the world, but you just feel undervalued and unappreciated.
ā You’re so exhausted and overwhelmed, you’ve considering walking away from the professional altogether.
Trust me: I get it. I’ve been there, too.
But what if I told you there’s a better way to practice law?

What if you could:
I know, I know—sounds too good to be true, right?
Well, it isn’t. It’s not only possible, it can be your reality in a few short months.
Let me show you how.
I'M READY!
I’m Meredith Marder.
I’ve been where you are—and I stayed stuck there for way too long.
I followed all the directions:
- Got into a good law school
- Graded on to Law Review and published my award-winning Law Review Note
- Summer associate in BigLaw
- Got a job offer with a six-figure starting salary (and thank goodness… because I also graduated with six-figure student loans!)
- Clerked on my State Supreme Court
(Yes, I know: I’m an overachiever. But if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you are, too.)
By the time I RSVPed to my 10-Year Law School Reunion, I was exhausted, overweight, and I’d skipped more birthdays and worked on more “vacations” than I could count. I was willing to give 150% to every partner, client, and colleague who needed me, but I never gave that same time and attention to myself.
I knew something had to change and, in 2019, I took the leap and started my own firm.
The partners told me I was making a big mistake.
They told me I’d have to take a huge pay cut.
They told me there wasn’t enough business in my practice area to sustain a full-time solo practice.
They told me people wouldn’t want to hire a young(ish), female attorney who didn’t have a reputable firm standing behind her.
And they couldn’t have been more wrong.
What ACTUALLY happened:
- I replaced my law firm income that first year
- I doubled it the second year
- Tripled it the third
- Working from home, billing less than 100 hours a month
- Travelling all over the Southwest with my mountain bike and my dogs
Within two years, I’d convinced my former paralegal and former associate to go out on their own, and now both of them support me as independent contractors while running their own successful businesses.
We all work 1/3 of the hours we used to, and make way more money.
You know what else?
You can have the same. I will show you how.
And, you’ll have the support of a community of badass, female attorneys
that I wish I’d had when I went out on my own.
I’ve created this program to help you achieve in weeks what took me years on my own:
ā unlearning the toxic, patriarchal culture the old firms were founded on
ā designing the life you want to live, and then
ā building a law firm that supports it.
At the end of this Program, you’ll:
1 Earn 10 CLE credits (3 Ethics)* in a community of other like-minded female attorneys who are ready to change the legal industry.
(*CLE credit depends on your jurisdiction.)
2 Walk away with a sound business plan & marketing strategy.
Each module of this course has built-in action steps that will lead to your new business plan.
3 Build a law firm where you can show up authentically as yourself—and call in clients who want to hire the real you!
4 Realize the true potential and earning capacity of your valuable law degree and experience, and start making more money than you ever have working for other people.
5 Leave behind bosses and colleagues who gaslight you, undervalue your expertise, and keep you stuck (because it makes them lots of money).
6 Heal from the toxic habits and cycles of overwork and overwhelm.
Build a business that works for you instead of you working for it.
I didn’t do this on my own, and you don’t have to either.
While I may have created my law firm alone, I wasn’t truly alone. I had some badass women on my team, teaching me how to take back control of my life.

I’m also not the only one who achieved this.
My colleague, friend, and now co-coach, Laura Kravec, started her own Lifestyle Law Firm following in my footsteps.
AND YOU CAN TOO.
Laura's Story
“As a transactional attorney, I had been at a law firm and in-house at a large company, and I was fried. Working 15+ hours a day, I felt overworked and undercompensated, and any work-life balance I had in place pre-COVID had been completely swept away by the pandemic. I wanted to make a change, but I didn't want more of the same, and the thought of going out on my own seemed daunting and unapproachable.
Connecting with Meredith and hearing about her success in her own firm lit a flame that burned in the back of my mind for months. She encouraged me to dig in and think about what I wanted to be doing with my time and how I wanted my relationship with my work to look. She helped me learn how to say "NO” so I could say “yes!” to the things I actually wanted to do.
When I finally quit my job, I started to explore how to shape my days around my non-negotiables: time with my family, time to move my body, and time to enjoy my hobbies. I had honestly forgotten how much I enjoy reading, listening to music, cooking, baking, exercising, spending time outside, and creating—until I got out of the non-stop hustle of the workplace and really listened to myself.
Now, my days are built around the non-negotiables, and running my law firm slots into the remaining time. I feel so much peace and calm, and I'm contributing to my family, not only financially, but by showing up more fully and authentically, instead of stressed and scattered. I also have time to volunteer at a soup kitchen, I donate blood regularly, I’m in several book clubs, and I helped sew the Nutcracker costumes for my daughter’s ballet school.
Most importantly, I'm taking care of myself and unlearning all of the toxic habits that are so pervasive in today's grind culture.”
This Program is for you if:
THIS IS ME!
Now, I realize this program is not for everyone.
And because we’re building a community, it’s important that we’re all on the same page.
This course is NOT for you if:
What the Program includes:
SIGN ME UP!How did things get this bad?
If you’re here (and you’re still reading), I just want you to know: it’s not your fault. You’re exhausted and overwhelmed because you’re working in an industry that wasn’t built for you.
Women have only been lawyers for, essentially, two generations. Many of us were alive when the first woman was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court (1981) and it’s only been within the last 20-30 years that it’s become common to see female attorneys in partner roles. Heck, women have only been allowed to own their own businesses in the U.S. since 1988!
Female attorneys are still struggling for representation in the highest echelons of BigLaw, and the stats on women reaching (let alone staying in) those leadership positions are abysmal.
We’ve been trained to succeed in this profession by becoming one of the guys.
In order to prove your worth in most law firms, you have to put in long hours, bill 1800 or 2000 hours a year, work evenings, weekends, and vacations, and we’re rewarded for being unemotional and self-sacrificing.
No wonder more female attorneys than ever are opting out of the patriarchal, toxic law firms created by men and looking for another way to practice law that actually fits our lifestyles.
And now that women make up nearly 50% of law school students, it’s time for us female attorneys to leave our mark on the profession in a big way.
It’s time to pave a path for the generations of women following in our footsteps and show them that being a woman in law is a strength, not a liability.
